Vehicle age and eligibility
Tanzania does not operate a single hard age ceiling on imported vehicles. What it does apply is an excise component that rises with the age band of the unit, which is why an older vehicle can clear but at a visibly higher landed cost. We read the manufacturing date from the VIN before quoting and model the age position for you, so the decision between a cheaper older unit and a younger one is made on numbers rather than on guesswork.
